Amigdalota (Almond Cookies)
  • 3 cups finely ground blanched almonds
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • Rosewater


In a large bowl blend the ground almonds with 1 cup powdered sugar (more powdered sugar can be added according to how personal taste). Slowly start adding rosewater and mixing into the almonds until the mixture comes together. Take care not to make the mixture too wet. It is extremely important to add the rosewater a little at a time.

Mix well and begin shaping the dough into small bells.

You may bake the cookies for approximately 5 minutes in a pre-heated 350 degree oven or enjoy unbaked. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
